We Need Volunteers Like You!

The John Hope Franklin Center for Reconciliation needs the presence, dedication, and the energy that volunteers bring to make the National Symposium the very best event! 

 

This year we have several positions where you can volunteer.  They are as follows:

Once you have been approved to be a volunteer at the National Symposium, you must register to attend.  Attendance is FREE for volunteers.

  • Room Moderator

    • Insuring sessions begin & end on time

    • Assisting session presenters

    • Administering session surveys

  • Discussion Facilitator

    • Guiding session attendees in making personal connections from Keynote speaker discussions

    • Guiding session attendees in establishing action plans for reconciliation

    • Guiding session attendees in creating SMART goals for reconciliation

  • Setup and Break Down

    • Setting up registration booths

    • Setting up marketing materials (banners)

    • Placing materials in individual rooms

    • Gathering materials upon completion of the Symposium

  • Registration 

    • Checking in attendees

    • Confirming registrations

    • Distributing name tags

  • Greeters

    • Providing directions

    • Answering questions

    • Monitoring traffic flow

  • Virtual Assitants

    • Assist Attendees with online registration

    • Answer questions concerning internet connectivity
